It's always worth taking photos of obscure things as they might end up getting
used by someone. Here's one of mine that Trek USA used for the launch
of their new Session 88 bikes.

What's in my bag.....

>>> June 25, 08
Generally I have to use riders for test shots, to get the light all balanced and
set right, but a friend let me use his assistant and this one is better 'cause he
doesn't complain like the riders.

>>> June 19, 08
Good luck to the Bashie boys as they head overseas for some riding. At
least they'll know no matter where they are in the world they'll always have
fans to cheer them on.

>>> June 14, 08
Glen Jacobs and his crew are in town at the moment getting Stromlo ready
for the World Cup....won't be long before the best in the world hit Canberra.

>>> June 8, 08
I've been having a few problems with my big lights so I tried to fix 'em
yesterday and it looks like I was successful. Warning, these images contain
nudity.

>>> June 4, 08
Sometimes I go and take photos and they never get used and just sit on my
computer and get old and rusty. Here's some from Beauty this year.

HBTS...... here's a gallery from a recent photo shoot.

>> May 26, 08
Now, I have to admit that my photos aren't life changing or going to bring the
world to attention. I know, it's shocking to hear that photos of boys and girls
on little bikes aren't really that important. Here's a series of photos that are.

>>> May 22, 08
The new AMB is out. Thanks to Nabs for hitting that lip just "one more time".

>>> May 20, 08
I got sick of taking photos of these fools and instead, waited for the right
moment and took this - Lake George, NSW.

>>> May 11, 08
I went to a local race today to work a little on my technique. Here's the gallery.

>>> May 9, 08
Playing around with a new look gallery.

Got this in the mail today and that's my photo of Dave Smutok on the cover.
Dave is one of the best riders I have ever worked with; he just keeps
going and going. Check out the movie here.

I've been pretty busy shooting as of late so the staff at damianbreach.com
have been too busy to update this page with all the goodness. I have to
admit that I normally add a little saturation to my images but lately I've
been playing with under-saturating my photos and I'm liking it. Here
are some randoms from the past couple of weeks.

>>> Apr 23, 08
Something to put on your computer to remind you of where you'd rather be.

>>> Apr 17, 08
I'm lucky to have rides with views like this and this only minutes away from my
house. Sometimes I need it to remind me of why I take photos....

>>> Apr 15, 08
One of my mates from the US and A just released a free movie... check it out!

>>> Apr 11, 08
Every time I cross something off this list I seem to get another 3 things to put
back on. I'm on a one day road trip tomorrow with a sweet crew of riders. Should be fun and something you might find in Revo in a month or so.

>>> Apr 9, 08
Went out shooting with T-Rose last night. Too bad I have to keep the bangers
for the magazines. I guess you'll just have to wait.....

Brap!!!

>>> Mar 30, 08
I've got a very busy month of April ahead of me shooting and writing stories
and I'm looking forward to the many challenges that editors throw my way.
One such editor, Scott Hart from decline, made a comment about his
"A-Team" of contributors. Well, I took that as a challenge and used my
vast skills in Photoshop to produce this. On a separate note, I'm good at keeping secrets so I won't tell you but one of your favorite magazines
might have a nice surprise soon... keep watching the newsstands. Finally
to follow a common trend of magazines I have FNM - King for a Life, Fool
for a Life Time on my fruit branded MP3 player on high rotation at the moment.
Now to a photo.....

It's that time of year when everyone's starting to head overseas for another
season of racing. Looks like times are changing though and most of the
Aussie talent is going to hit Europe rather than the US. Amiel is another
one about to hit his first World Cup season... good luck mate..!!

>>> Mar 24, 08
You probably think that being a photographer means spending countless
hours in exotic far away locations. Well the truth is that I spend most of my
time here......

>>> Mar 21, 08
the new Revolution and AMB magazines are out. Check them out for some
of my latest stuff.

>>> Mar 18, 08
Finally got a chance to go out with the new camera today. I got myself a
second D2X to replace the D2H. I'm a poor mountain bike photographer
so no new D3 for me :-(

>>> Mar 17, 08
On my way home from shooting Rando yesterday I stopped to take a photo
of this and almost ran straight into this.

>>> Mar 16, 08
Two entries with the same date - weird. Rando is heading back overseas
on Wednesday so I took the opportunity for a last minute photoshoot.
However, all riders think they can take better photos than photographers
so I gave Rando the camera, took his bike and gave him the challenge.
Here's what he came up with. Seems he was enjoying the berm smashing
I was teaching him more than the photography.

Sitting here in the heat I can only dream of this.

>>> Mar 15, 08
Fireworks.

>>> Mar 14, 08
I've finally found a nice piece of software that isn't overkill and perfect for all I
need. Oh, and here's a photo.

>>>Mar 13, 08
Check out the new Clict for some happy snaps from me.

>>> Mar 6, 08
Today I bid a fond farewell to an old mate. He's been with me for years, thru
the thick and thin of my photographic career. He was there when I shot my
first cover. He was there with me to capture all the action from around the world.
He has traveled the globe with me and never complained about being squished
on the planes. He has endured the harsh elements from driving rain to
sweltering heat. He never complained and he never failed me. I sometimes
abused him and accused him of failing to get "that" shot and he would always
be willing to work for that "one more shot". And he's never been worried about
being the dumb sidekick to my other assistant. He's heading off to an early
retirement and has been replaced by a younger smarter assistant. He's my
old D2H. Thanks for all the memories............

>>> Mar 3, 08
Look out for some changes to dbp over the next few weeks. I think I'm finally
going to change this website a little. Some shots from yesterday...It's good
when there's a nice sunset.

>>> Feb 25, 08
I've been meaning to mention that there's been a few feature stories of mine
in decline magazine from when I was out East last. My current feature is on
Snowshoe, West Virginia and the next one will be on Highlands, New
Hampshire.

>>> Feb 19, 08
I went out with Rando today to shoot some photos. Speeking of Rando. He
(and CORC) put on a super, super D race at Majura yesterday. Lots of
fun for all but also lots of money raised for Tara Llanes to help with her
recovery.

>>> Feb 18, 08
I went and attempted my first MTB race in a million years and let's just say
that typing is a little slow at the moment. It was fun to ride and not shoot
but I still had the camera and took this one of Andy Blair.

>>> Feb 13, 08
Ourimbah was fun.

>>> Feb 07, 08
It's been a pretty crazy last few weeks. Was at Mt Beauty last week and am
off to the Central Coast tomorrow.

>>> Jan 31, 08
Went shooting with Joel and Liam Panozzo today for an upcoming
AMB story on the family. Keeping with the shed theme here's one of theirs.

>>> Jan 29, 08
Sorry for the slow updates but I only just got the internet installed at my house
as I had to save the money for some string and two cans. I was shooting the
Aussie Nationals at Mt Stromlo all weekend and look out for a feature on
littermag in the next few days. I'm off to Beauty tomorrow so I'll see some of
you for the finals.

>>> Jan 16, 08
Have a quick look at this photo and write down the first thing you see. If you
noticed all the bikes then you're a bike geek, if you noticed the White Lightning
X1600 then you're a photo geek, and if you noticed the fishing rods then you're
a redneck.

Welcome to '08 and the 5th year of damianbreach.com. To celebrate I went
and did a spot of surfing at Bells and some golf at Torquay. I plan on changing
this website a little but before I get around to doing that one huge
improvement you'll see is the use of capital letters.... I bet that thrills you!
